The mistrust and fear before the constant and bloody attacks of the barbarours pirates made the Teuladians build a church (16th century), which has the character of a fort and allowed the inhabitants of the village to resist the cruel attacks.
The balconies of iron, protecting the windows, the watchtower of Cap d'Or (16th. Century) or the Castle of Moraira (18th century) are the remains of the history on a village which was built in front of the sea dedicated to the laborious cultivation of the land.
